Honda civic D14 z engine

Asslamoalaikum

Recently I bought honda civic 2006 oriel prismatic

The biggest mistake I made I checked engine no through his car paper but didn't notice it was D14 z engine

So I have a civic with 1.4 engine 1400cc

It's a non VTEC engine with average 5 km/L if I drive smoothly between 0 to 60 speed with very light foot step

Even V8 car gives this average

Plz advise me what should I do .ashall I change the engine ?

The previous owner must have changed the engine with one from a Hybrid Civic. Change it back to stock R18.

It's not a hybrid civic it's Pakistani version Pakistan made not japanese one plus I checked specs d14z it's European engine I know

I am very much confused of its fuel consumption and did not know if I change the engine how would I know. It will work for a long life or not

Even if it's 1400cc engine, it should not give such a poor mileage. It looks like the engine swap is not done properly.
You have 2 options now. Try to resolve the fuel economy issue OR swap the engine to R18.

The factory engine for this car would be a D16 and not an R18. You cannot stuff a D engine in an engine bay made for the R engine.

Yeah I realized that from another thread that he owns 7th gen civic. I thought it was 8th gen because 7th gen was discontinued in 2005 globally.

You need to check for ECU if correct, move to sensors, etc. Hook up scanner and share the readings here, And share your city so can guide about mechanic.
