Honda CIVIC eagle eye radiator fans working with AC but not without AC

Honda Civic’s both radiator fans gets on instantly I switch on AC but it turned off when I turn the AC off. I have discussed it with my cousin he’s a car enthusiast he told me that fans will get on when it reaches to certain temperature when there is a need but I kept car started for about 15min without AC fans didn’t gets on nor and heat gauge remain little low from the middle. What should I do does it need a check?

Its a simple DIY do it your self that you can check it by your self. A place where thermostat valve is located there is the fan auto switch take out that grip and take a small wire and attach that wire in the grip in both holes while you just switch your car at ignition position if fan doesn't turn on than its your radiator fan relay problem remember this model has radiator and while ac working have seperate relays turns on than its your sensor fault and fault are of 2 types either sensor is not working or either it is rusted because of water in radiator in my case it was rusted i cleaned with metal grinder brush and it worked fined. Problem was same it was not heating up with but heated up without AC because sensor doesnt complete the circuit of the fan. And therefore it heats up.

First check for the direct fan if its working fine, then your radiator need serviced or thermostat valve need to be changed.

no sir fan auto switching has nothing to do with clogged radiator. In such cases engine will heat up and cluster needle will rise abruptly.

as explained above auto trigger shall be replaced 1st.

That is perfectly normal, Turning on the AC automatically turns on the radiator fans. Without turning on the ac the radiotar fans will turn on when the engine gets to a certain temprature, If the engine is not hot enough there is no point for the radiator fans to come on

Most certainly there is no thermostat valve installed. Engine is running below optimal temperature.

It takes quite a while for the fans to kick on, as this model has a pretty decent sized radiator
