Dear experts!

Need your urgent help.

I own a Honda Civic Exi - Mannual - original sealed engine with 1.03 Lac in odometer.

Bought a year back. Initially it was giving me 8.5 KM/L city drive.
Got a general service with oil change and minor radiator work couple of month back.

Since than, its giving me 7.5 KM/L.

Firstly, is 8.5 KM/L good for car of this model and power?
Secondly, how to improve the avg or atleast make it to what i was getting earlier?

Have done all tappet setting, engine tuning, RPM adjust all. Car in running and drive is all good but still avg is low.

Please suggest remedy to improve the avg.

Also, what spark plugs will be good for my car?

P.S: have tried fuel of Caltex and PSO

Also, my driving style is very gentle. No hard on accelerator. Nothing above 2.5K RPM

Judging from your profile pic, it is a 6th gen Civic for which the fuel economy you've mentioned is utterly unacceptable. You should be getting 12 in city easy peasy since its an M/T.

Now since you've already had the tuning and oil changes done, my first guess will be the Fuel Cap.

Check and replace it with genuine, or kabuli one. The kabuli one shouldn't cost you more than 200 rupees.

2ndly check the fuel lines for dampness/leaks. I'm sure one of these is your culprit.

What engine oil are you using? Spark plugs? Air and fuel filter

There are few things that can cause low millage
Poor quality of petrol
Thick engine oil
Chocked Air and Oil filters
Improper engine tuning

Use only hi octane
Use fully synthetic engine oil 5W30 is what you should use

So sorry guys... was busy and travelling...
Yes! its a 6th gen Civic and 12 KM would be a dream come true avg
Got back yesterday and visited mechanic today again.

He cleaned the distributor and replaced the fuel filter. (Fuel filter was literally throwing some thick black stuff while cleaning).
Also got the car RPM tuned and all.

Now will be re-filling the tank to monitor.

Other details include:
Bosch spark plugs - the guy checked it, had carbon which he cleaned and re-plugged it as per him its in good condition and can be used
got oil changed @ 1 Lac 2 thousand KM. It was ZIC synthetic one (cant recall the exact specs and number)
Air filter (again dont know the spec :p) but he checked and said its still good to go. will replace in next oil change.
Fuel cap is still original and in good condition
Checked fuel leakage and found nothing

Car has run almost 2,000 KMs after oil change. shall i rush now for oil change or wait?

the fuel efficiency depend on quality of fuel tappet setting poor spark plug increased rpm oil filtr nd distributor

synthetic oil can last long. 10k easily but don't cha before 5k and also filter

True that.
Tappet all set. RPM is also how it should be. around 1000. Oil filter was replaced 2K KM. Distributor was also petrol washed and set yesterday and so was spark plug checked.

This all happened yesterday.
Now i will be filling my tank to measure the avg.
I there any immediate action that i should also take care so that i can feel the difference.?

Check if thermostat is installed and engine temp gauge is always in middle? and tappets should be always set at cold engine not on hot engine. Your car was made to run on NGK plugs i assume you are using wrong plugs get ngk ones which come for 98-00 civic. and plug wires should have required resistance.
