Today I got my car’s radiator serviced. The radiator guy used acid for flushing, checked for leaks, cleaned it, and then reinstalled it. Right now, I’ve put water in it because no good quality coolant was available.
Now I’m wondering — should I switch to coolant or just continue with water? If I switch to coolant, what should the water-to-coolant ratio be? Or should I use only coolant?
As always, the radiator guy said the radiator is “weak” and all that, but I still got it serviced. I’m just worried that if I put in coolant now, it might cause choking. Actually, When I bought the car, it was running on water, and later I switched to coolant by just draining the water — my mistake was that I didn’t get the radiator serviced at that time. Even then, I didn’t face any issue, and I even drove in hilly areas. But this time the car overheat.
