I have recently purchased honda civic reborn 2006 with 62000kM milage with stock engine. The seller told me he was using shell 10.30 but I have changed that to Motul 10w40 .Now engine is making knocking sound when idle and diring travel i can't hear any sound may be because of other vehicles sounds but when idle it making knocking sound. What to do now
Recording and posting a video of the sound would be helpful. Scan the car for any diagnostic codes, even if there is no check engine light. My Honda 1.8 engines are 200,000km+, run on cheap 5W-30, and make no noises.
