Honda Civic Reborn Engine Overhaul

Hey. I have a 2011 Honda Civic Vti Oriel Prosmatec. Apparently the engine is weak, i.e consuming oil, has comparatively weaker compressions in cylinder 2 and the engine is on blow. I went to City Sales and the guy recommend an engine overhaul. I asked around about it and got mixed opinions. Some people say after an overhaul, the R18A1 engine works perfectly, while others say that it starts causing problems due to installing a sleeve in an aluminium block and that an overhaul isn't a good idea and that I should rather go for a Kabuli assembly from Bilal Gunj. Does anyone have experience with Overhauling a civic reborn? Can you please share it?

I haven't seen many good overhauls in Pakistan.

Brother, kabuli market is flooded with honda engines. all you need is a new assembly with good health and replace it.

another point of action would be to get the engine number changed in the car papers which is a simple procedure costing 1500 Rs.

usually our mechanics do not know how to rebuild considering the required clearences and torque ratings for each part.

so replacement is the best way forward.
