Hi Pak Wheelers,
I have a 2009 civic oriel manual. I've been using Liqui Moly fuel additives since I bought this car and I've been running it only on hi-Octane. The total mileage of this car is ~193k
I use CeraTec + Liqui Moly's engine oil 10w-40 + fuel injection cleaner. I shift the gears when the RPM is above 1700. And I make sure to cruise not above 2RPM on expressway, which gives me speed no more than 78.
My daily route is from Gulberg Greens to I-10. I use A/C 85% of the time since it gets cold in the car. Just wanted to share the fuel average of this car with you guys. Please find the pictures attached as they speak for themselves.
MashAllahImpressive fuel economy from 193k mileage engine, maintenance is key.
It is not only about km/litre, rather it is about $/km. I suggest you download some app like drivvo and it will calculate the per km cost. I used to do it a while ago. Here is the result. Thereafter you would get the true picture of per km cost including all fancy LM additives hi octane general tune ups filter oil change etc
Who gave you these ideas?
Thanks, will try the App. There isn't much difference b/w the price of Liqui Moly engine oil and the rest. Also, the injection cleaner costs around 1800, and the CeraTec costed me around 5k
Lol, when I first bought it I researched a bit on maintaining the engine since the engine was already in great condition
The oil grade is wrong. 5w30 is the correct one, no matter how many kms are on the engine. Whats your drain interval? The additives do make a difference but at a significant cost which kills the whole point of using them. Hi octane is not the correct fuel for this car aswell.
