Honda Civic Reborn Rainy Season Tips Required

Hi everyone,

Need suggestions from you guys. I've recently purchased Honda civic 8th generation (2008) model, and I've heard and read, that one of the cons of this car is that it has a high probability of getting hydrolocked if driven in deep puddles. Just wanted to ask is there any tip for driving in such conditions? (e.g: a guy told me to remove the air intake pipe from the filter if got stuck in such conditions, is it safe?)

There are literally zero situations where removing the intake pipe is any benefit. Doing so will do absolutely nothing for the hydro locked engine. The intake should be somewhere behind the headlights near there bottom edge so make sure not to drive in water where you can feel the body to be submerged, and if it is keep a higher rpm to make sure the exhaust does not get water in it
