Racechip ultimate was on the original Honda Factory Cal. The engine would knock from time to time but back then even stock cars had the same issue. Then I switched to hondata because I wanted the ability to reflash the ecu based on the bolt ons I was running. Hondata basemaps were good but it was a bit restrictive since at the time flashpro did not support flex fuel and most of the tables were locked.
I contacted vitviper for a custom tune and he recommended that I move to ktuner because it was more customizable and had flex fuel support. I bought a flex fuel kit and ktuner and got a custom tune from vit that was based on the original Honda factory map. After that I added a few other bolt ons and went for another custom tune this time from Drob (Derek Robinson) and all the new maps are based on the updated factory tune from Honda.
Still have to be very selective and careful where I get hobc from. Can't just drive into any station and fill up hobc. I only go to very specific pumps that I have selected based on how the car runs and datalogs from ktuner V2. I have a pump gas cal and a flex fuel cal (currently still in progress). The pump gas tune runs on 21psi boost and the flex fuel currently is running 24psi on E35 (35% ethanol)
