There are a number of things you need to check. Do let us know how you calculate the fuel average.
1. Change the Petrol pump and see if that makes a difference.
2. Get your throttle body/Carburettor, MAP/MAF sensors cleaned with a good cleaner. Also get the IAC Valve cleaned, make sure to lubricate it with a few drops of ATF oil after cleaning.
3. Change your Air filter and see if a blockade has been installed if the car was or is being used on CNG. It can also be in the shape of tape which covers the air cleaner box letting less air going towards the intake manifold. If you find a blockade remove it!
4. Use STP "Complete Fuel System Cleaner" or any other good ones you can find. For better results use it more concentrated.
5. Change the fuel filter. Use genuine fuel and air filters.
6. Change your spark plugs, use stock plugs. Look for the recommended plugs.
7. If all this doesn't improve your fuel average, consider changing your driving style.

my vti pros gives
~10.3km/L without ac in city
~134km/8.5kg CNG without ac in city

with ac in city
~9km/L petrol
~120km/8.5kg CNG

n these r not some one time figures, i have been getting them for more than a year

Salam.... Need ur suggestions as i want to spend some money on my civic prosmatic ug 2002.... I dont want to change my car i enjoy its drive alot.... So the problem is am getting pathetic fuel average its like 7km per litre and on cng its 70 to 80 km without ac....

185/65R15 are best
BTW oil matters alot in this dual vtec D16w9 engine
As I'm using liqui moly fully synthetic 10W30 from long time..
It's 300K on the odor I mean 3 lac kms
My car is totally company maintained
Air filter oil filter fuel filter plugs everything is genuine
Recently I calculated the mileage
In city without ac = 10-11 km/L
With AC = 9-10 km/L
On Highway
Constant speed 100 = 16.1 Km/L
Constant speed of 120 = 15 km/L
Constant speed of 135 = 13.5 km/L
And if sudden acceleration and mix speed but mostly above 150 = 12 km/L
BTW my car is prosmatec and I change trans oil every 40K kms

Try to use light foot and let the car change gear at 2.5K rpm or max 3k rpm
I use to shift at 2.5K rpm
And it the key for dual vtec fuel economy

I am newbie.... Recently changed to hydundai xteer 20w50 area ke oil walay ne pagal bana diya .... Transmission oil was changed by honda.... Denso single pin plugs are ok ? Or replaced them ?

Also what about cng ? How much this car gives on cng ? Jab se 20w 50 dalwaya hai pick mar gaya hai .... Usse pehle caltex havoline 10w 30 dala howa tha.... My car millage is 122000 just

I don't have CNG installed in it sorry...
Yeah Denson single pin are OK but iridium are best...
Bro I'll advice you to switch back to the oil that you used before because 20w50 is too thick for this engine and it will ruin engine life
... I recommend Honda genuine 10w30 fully synthetic or liqui moly 10w-30 fully synthetic..
You'll surely impressed by its performance..
Also check if the fuel filter and fuel pump is in good condition or needs replacement
As it should be changed every 40K kms
Change your air filter and oil filter to a better one.
Beshaq Honda pa switch kr jayen ya phr market sa acha 700-800 ki range me dekh lein..
Spark plugs if in Good health use them and if needs replacement then go for Denson iridium
The main thing is not to Rev the car above 3K rpm
As I've tested my car too when floored it changes gear at Red line and doesn't give more than 6 km/L
Do try to be patient and light footed driver..

Also go for wheel alignment and wheel balancing
I suggest you to done this from company
Because they do it with better instruments and with more care but others don't do this properly..

Today i upgrade my tyres to general 185/65/15
Oil to zic 10w40 also the plugs borch 4pin plugs....

Car ki pick aur awaz hi change hogai hai thanks... Aur maza araha hai... Thanks

Thanks bro.... Farrukh my next change would be 5w 20 Inshallah ... I was confused that directly change from 20w 50 to very thin can be harmful so i use 10w 40 this time

After doing oil,tyre, plugs change also the alignment.... My civic vti oriel ug 2002 gives me 75km on 55kg tank is it good or should i do something​ else more to increase my average ?

my 2004 pros giving the following figures
without ac, city driving around 10.3km/L petrol & around 135km on CNG 55 tank. On highways, around 16km/L @120km/h and around 14km/L at around 140km/h. whereas on cng, m getting around 200km/rs.800 fill.
with ac, city around 9km/L on petrol & highway around 15km/L @120km/h. On cng around 125km/rs.660 fill and around 180km/rs.800 fill. M using stock plugs, SN DRAGON 10w40, stock setup

You switched to 10w40 which is good cux 20w50 is thick for starters. But keep in mind that seals and gaskets adapt too the thicker oil with time and might leak if u go thin on the oil. So keep checking for leaks. Get ur CNG tuninig and regularly clean ur intake, every week. doesnt take more than 5min. Ur petrol figures arent that bad, i assume u take the d16 for a fun ride alot if u want good figures, keep a soft foot. rest you r pretty good

i havent used cng for years but i remember back in 2014 one cylinder of cng used to do 170 on long route and 130 max in city with and without ac i have to put of cng due to rpm issue now on ptrol with bad pick it gives 130 in 1000 rs in city
