Unbelievable. I just bought 99 civic exi and in long it's giving good consumption. ...may be 13....but as u told if true then u are lucky....guys please sujest am very confused in running both patrol and cng....may be setting not good....car taking missing...in local on cng....and consumption also high with ac....will take long run again then will get true reading. ..

Hey bro, I know its an old post, but just wanted to ask. I have a 2005 civic A/T with 130k on odometer. Had committed the mistake of putting in Zic 20w50. Acceleration just died out. I had also installed Bosch multi-tip iridium plugs. I changed the oil and went for 10w40 but no luck. Had switched the plugs to single pin ones but nada. I'll cut to the chase here, I went for several oil changing units but no one recommends to put in a fully synthetic oil, 10w30 or otherwise. They just go nuts; "O g ye to gari 100km me kha jae gi". What do you suggest for this engine ?

PS: My car gives 6-7KM with AC in city and 10-11 on highways.

5w30 is recommended by manufacturer for this engine, they designed the engine and I believe their engineers must know little more than oil change guys. Unfortunately they cannot yell like oil change wala chota, instead they have written everything down in user manual.

Go for 5w30 fully synthetic, thats what I used for my car with 265k on odo. Yours is even half of that.

This car should at least give 10km/l in city and 14 on highway.

Bosch multi tip are not iridium but platinum.

I will simply bypass the oil wala non-sense then. However, which brand would you recommend ? Also, which plugs do you suggest for this engine ?

Here's the recommended ones from the manual:
NGK: PZFR6F-11 OR DENSO: PKJ20CR-M11

Use any good fully synthetic 5w30 oil, most important is, it should be original and use genuine filter.

I prefer NGK but they are more or less similar.
