Honda Civic X Oriel 2017 AC Issue After 50,000 KM

Hello All Dear Members,
A few days back my Civic AC stopped working, today i took it to a renowned workshop in Faisalabad. They Just checked a Pipe(most probably AC GAS Pipe) and told me that your car's freezer is leaked, we have to change it and for that we have to open all dashboard. they gave me following estimate for all this.

1. AC Freezer/Cooling Coil (Thailand) : 10,500
2. Labor Charges & AC GAS: 10,000

He also told me its very known fault in Honda Civic X 2017 & in last two months he fixed about 7 civics with same issue.

I just want your feedback regarding this, Is that really a Know issue of Civic X 2017?

if the guy is Naming "Evapourator" a freezer then i dont think he is the right guy for the job!

He referred it as AC Cooling Coil as well.

Contact honda claim possible they fix for free

Probably its condenser... I replaced it under warranty in Dec 2018 (Model Dec 2106) and last week it leaked again. Thank God I got 4 years warranty....

Its a well known problem in Civic X. Claim it from dealership ASAP.

It is very well known fault of this model. Visit honda dealership and ask them to fix it because it's manufacturing defect. If they decline to do so, go to consumer court. One of my friend got it done by honda even after his warranty by suing them.
They sold you a defective product so they must fix it.

I believe they are referring evaporator as freezer. Which is an expensive part, I really doubt that would cost 10K. My brother WagonR faced same issue, Genuine Suzuki Evaporator was around 35K, luckily he got it replaced under warranty.

It is a problem that may occur in civic x.

You should take it to Honda and try to launch a Quality defect claim. You must first try this option .

Dear this part of my car get changed, i got it changed from a local Workshop and it costed me 24000 total in 2019. And its working 100% fine since then.

Or meray pass 1.5 turbo civic bhi ha or 1.8 civic x bhi ha turbo ka karcha 1.15 lac huya or 1.8 civic x ka 42k huya

What happened with your evaporator? Is evaporator also called freezer? My car is out of warranty, but if its a common issue I can probably go and try with honda

Tmtake it to 3S and see if they accept quality claim

Otherwise get it replaced from market

Evaporator issue is very common in civic x, honda original is 26k, labour 20k, refrigerant 11k
Market labour 4-7k, evaporators 8-20k, refrigerant 4k
Got mine replaced, problem still not fixed
