Honda Clutch/pressure plate replacement

Hi Experts, especially Honda Owners

I need special suggestions from all the experts over here. I am the first owner of Honda city Ivtec 2016, 100000 driven and the car is totally maintained by authorized Honda 3S in Gujranwala.
After 90k drive; I am facing a hard clutch issue which I ignored earliest but now it is freaking hard and I'm very discomfort while driving the car. A few days back I visited the Honda Shop and they advised me to replace the clutch plates, along with pressure plates with some bearing stuff and gear oil. They quoted me around 30k without labor.

They warned me that if I will not replace the plates it will damage the internal stuff, I don't know what stuff but he told me likewise.

I am curious about the replacement as I'm getting the handsome mileage till now, around 16/l; Now I need advice on whether I should replace the plates mentioned above or get the service and if I need to replace where can I get the genuine Honda City parts in Lahore so that I will cost a little less than the authorized dealership or I should replace them from the dealership with 30k plus labor.

You can buy honda genuine clutch and pressure set from market from any reputed dealer and get it installed from a sensible mechanic. You would also need Honda Genuine MTF 2 liters.

Can you please name any good dealer in Lahore. I bought some material outside the dealership in the PAST and all the stuff was non-genuine.

Sadly I don’t know dealers for Honda in Lahore. Btw check parts central Facebook page they provide Genuine items of Toyota and Honda.

Before purchasing anything get 2-3 opinions on this issue. Maybe your clutch plate is fine and just the clutch cable needs greasing or the spring behind clutch pedal is stiff. Start from simple stuff before opening the complete gear box. Honda 3s morons are notorious for faulty diagnosis and poor workmanship. Dont just throw away the money on their diagnosis. IMO 100,000 km is nothing for a well maintained honda. If average if fine, pick is good and car doesnt feel under powered at up slopes your clutch plate if fine. Problem lies in some other area. Find that out first

first of all contact some sensible and trusty mechanic and discuss with him the issue you are facing. Honda is asking way to much. For genuine parts contact parts central they havea fb page and can deliver to gujranwala as well.
