A NEW MACHINE FROM HONDA
The new Honda CX-01 was among the better-looking bikes at Auto Expo 2014 and points towards an exciting direction that the design team at the company is heading towards. What is all the more encouraging is the fact that the bike?s design and development was handled completely by the Research and Development team based out of MANESAR in INDIA. Though we don?t have an idea of the technical specifications of the bike, there is no denying the fact that it looks fantastic. It has now emerged that the concept could be an exercise for the new naked CB1000R, which is among the more eagerly anticipated launched from Honda.
The CX in the name of the bike stands for concept cross and 01 signifies that this is the first bike that has been developed by Honda?s homegrown R&D team. The bike looks like a sturdy sports that can handle high-speed riding and laid back handling equally well. The headlights are the most distinct visually, and have drawn comparisons to Transformers characters. Another notable part of the bike is its fuel tank. It looks quite muscular and the positioning of the knee recess gives it a sculpted look. Honda has been quite secretive about what kind of performance we can expect from the bike.
The CX-01 showcased at the Auto Expo is a concept but an extremely butch-looking machine. A 300cc mill and torque to match will certainly make a lot of Indian biking enthusiasts happy.
