Honda D Series Transmission Query

Rather simple questions folks:

i) Which D series transmission is the best (or rather closest ratio one) in your opinion/experience?

ii) Which one do you have? Please mention the generation (s20 or S40) and casting stamp (its next to the fluid drain bolt). How far do the 2nd and 3rd gear go? Also mention rev limit.

iii) Do you prefer 5th Gen S20 with Aluminum shift forks or 6th Gen S40 with steel shift forks? And why?

The thing is, as we know; A000 are wide ratio gears and B000 are short ones. But I am currently running JDM S40-P4A-B000 and its not short at all, 2nd gear goes to 110km/h and 3rd goes all the way up to 170 @ 7500 rpms.
I really need to swap it for a good (short) one. Its sluggishness is killing me - with those large cogs its like driving with 18' wheels with five persons aboard.
So, here I am; need some information before I go shopping. Please share your experience here.

^^ you are so right bro, and to tell you truth; I've already had done my bit of internet before posting this topic here.
Most of them forums like D series, Civic owners, Honda swap ones - they simply cannot provide me with what I'm looking for: why does P4A-B000 is close ratio in USDM and wide ratio in Bilal Gunj (JDM), for instance.

So, the purpose of this topic is to gather information based on our experiences with different transmissions bought and driven locally.
