I have recently purchased an honda civic es5 VTI Oriel which comes with D16W9 engine but it is half assembly swapped with D16W7 and has two vtec solenoids.

My question is whether the D16W7 comes with single vtec solenoid or double vtec solenoid.?

i was doing some research and found that the d16w7 engine has VTEC-E.
I am unable to fully understand the technology, as the normal vtec gives you instant boost when vtec is on, but I am not getting that boost on it. and i have checked, the vtec solenoids are working.
