Few sincere suggestion for you brother as I've gone through the same process last year and ended up importing an Aqua myself with which I am very happy
So according to my experience and as buyer of Aqua last year I would like to write you some Pros and Cons of Aqua
Pros
1. Aqua is more fuel efficient as compared to Fit (I am currently getting 19 with AC and medium to heavy foot on throttle and have also achieved 26 in winters with light foot on accelerator)
2. Aqua's pick is just too good (at times I feel like its getting our of my hand) (the same thing which I felt when I switched from a 70cc bike to 125cc) 0-100kmph in just 8-9 secs is its record I guess
3. A lot of safety features are there which are not in Honda City local I guess
4. Aqua have better resale (as compared to fit) as most of its parts are same as Prius 2012 & 2013 model which is pretty much seen in Pakistan so parts availability would be easier than Fit
5. Aqua if in genuine condition is way better than any local car in this price range even new civic is not as good in quality as Aqua is (I am talking only about the quality of interior & exterior)
6. Aqua is a very comfortable car (dont know about Fit)
Cons
1. Resale is not as good as Pakistani (local) cars
2. Rear seats space is compromised because of aerodynamic design
3. Registration/token taxes in Punjab is very high as compared to other provinces
There is no other con as the car is very satisfying as per my experience. I've been driving it for last 13 months and never spent a penny for any repairs or tuning etc.
Lastly I would say if you are willing to spend 16 lacs on vitz than better go for aqua as the price difference between both is only 1-2 lacs which you might save in terms of fuel in next 1-2 years. Also consider that buying a genuine imported car is a tough job so rely only on reputed dealers otherwise you might end up buy an accidental car.
