1-Japanese fuel avg test claims big numbers but its very hard to achieve those numbers .you need to be really good hypermiller with 35 plus psi on the tyres .
2-If one buys hybrid car and still has to hyper mill then wots the point of spending 1.6million and that too on a hatch back.

1. Yes, that's true, to achieve mileage figures close to Honda's claims, you need to drive very very carefully and adapt basic hypermiling techniques, I am also running 35 psi. In fact Honda Fit is not a true Hybrid car, they call it a "Mild Hybrid". It's basically a car with an Atkinson cycle engine and a small electric motor to compensate for the inherent less low-end torque of these engines. In the hands of a skilled hypermiler, I guess the overall difference of mileage would be less than 20% compared to a similar petrol only car.

But the real advantage for us is that you get rebate on import duty because technically it's a hybrid, and if you compare it with other imported cars with similar features, the price might be justified. For example a freshly imported vitz 1.0 with cruise control and bluetooth+navigation would easily go beyond 1.4M mark these days. and then there's a huge gape between vitz and Prius (which are the most popular jdm cars in pakistan) even if you don't consider the hybrid factor

Not exactly like Prius, but it shows some economy scores when you switch on the car. And if it's paired with cellphone, it shows the call info etc.

The battery status and usage and other driving starts are shown on another multi information display near the dials.

Then definitely go for an aftermarket unit. The only reason people hesitate with Prius units is because its quite cool to see the battery usage and all...

the original one is quite nicely integrated with the car's dashboard, the thirdparty one probably won't fit in that well, but i'll check the local market. plus there are multimedia and telephone controls on the steering wheel, but I guess most popular models have support for Honda system.

I m confused. I own a Prius 2008 bought last year at 60000 km with original auction sheet now the car is a 110000 and I want to upgrade. The model of my car is old n I cover more than 60000 in a year. now I m selling it. And confused to buy a Prius c or fit hybrid. Reason for change is to get a new model mean 2010 plus remaining in the same budget. plz guide. Fit is small but dashing in looks.

Prius c also called Aqua is more expensive, you will get it in more than 21 lac whereas fit you can get in 15-16.Fit is much smaller in size than Prius c, it is your choice as per your budget. However I will recommend that if you go for fit, get latest model of fit hybrid(released in 2013) which is more fuel efficient than current model.

OK boss thanks for the reply. Aqua base grade is also available in 18 lac so thinking of buying it. But first will sell my Prius by the end of this month then will see what market suggests.

My Prius is giving 21 km per liter mostly on highway. In last 45 liter fill I got 925 km which shows an average of 20.3 approx

I notice a slight "dhabb" type noise from the back suspension when go in broken road with my Fit-2011. Do others notice or this is mine only?

I am noticing the same thing in my fit

Keeping in mind that this is with worst quality of fuel available here .....

I was never able to get anything close to that on my fit no matter how carefully I drive and whether it's urban or highway driving.

I can only get ~18-20kmpl in city with careful driving and ~20kmpl on gt road (@80-100 kmph) and 16.5 on motorway (@ 110-120 kmph)

Fully loaded Honda Grace Hybrid with dual clutch and such jazz is just 18.5lacs converted to PKR. Why cant we have it here for the same kind of money I wonder. Come on Honda Atlas!
