AoA. I want to replace my civic x disc pads. I checked from honda authorized 3S dealer and they r charging aroung 50k including labor for all 4 disc pads. Whereas a very reputed workshop offering genuine honda civic x disc pads replacement in around 25k including labor. Im kind of confused why so much price difference if both offering genuine parts? Who should i trust. Pls guide.

Get parts from partscentral and get changed from dealership

Prices are definitely less than dealership. Almost 10k difference.

2-3 options are available. Get parts from 1s or 3s (some 3s don't sell parts) and get it replaced from outside mech. You would save some amount in labour and with a piece of mind that the part is genuine. Or look for the shop which sells genuine honda parts. Every city has one. Or purchase from online store like partscentral etc. Brake disk pads are a crucial part as cheap pads damage the disks as well. So be very sure about quality before purchasing.

They said made in Thailand so its made in thailand and it would be genuine. Genuine parts can be made anywhere. Even at 3s the same part could be made in japan, made in thailand, vietnam, pakistan etc etc. Depends where honda atlas source it from, which can change from time to time.
