The stock radiator in my Liana had a seeping upper tank. I installed a new one to avoid trouble. I have had bad experiences in the past with repaired radiators.

I agree, while I had also been of the opinion of not getting the tank removed from an aluminum radiator and replaced, at the time, there didn't seem to be any other option and the rather popular radiator repair guy in Rawalpindi convinced me that it will be done properly and gave years of guarantee. But alas, like it is with their mindset of 'kuch nahe hota' this came back to bite me. I will in shaa Allah replace it soon thought, lesson learnt.

I think you're moving in the right direction. You will have to find a radiator which will fit in your engine compartment. Might need retrofitting.

Yes, in shaa Allah that's the plan. I'll take the radiator with me and see if I can find another radiator in a similar configuration. Otherwise, I might need to adjust other things around a little.

or u can get a custom made Copper radiator, expensive but better heat dissipation.

There are also custom aluminuium radiatiors with metal tanks instead of plastic.

Only a machine can tighten the teeth to seal plastic tank onto aluminium core.

Our desi ustaads use silicon in addition to rubber gasket, which provides temporary solution.

further more they so pressure testing powered by lun-gs which is nothin in comparison to what a combustion engine can produce.

I agree, the jugaar done by the ustaads in this case has no comparison with what is done by machines in a factory. Going the copper radiator route is also an option that I've kept open. It's just that I'm not entirely sure about the purity of the copper used in the locally manufactured radiators, and in turn their efficiency. My first preference would be to go for an OEM replacement solution if I can't find that, then I may go for this option.

I've actually been doing some research on these as well. There are a couple of sites in Pakistan where I found these aluminum radiators but both had them for a civic. The civic's radiator has thicker tanks so I have my doubts if it will fit in the little space that I have. Also, if I go for a civic radiator, I'll have to make a lot of changes like in the radiator shroud, condenser and other allied parts. I am however still looking for an all aluminum radiator in China. I have the measurements and if I can find one that fits, I would definitely take this route.

On a separate note, is this website xtremeautomart.com a reliable source for buying parts? I've been looking for a 2.5" to 3" silicone elbow for my aircleaner that I haven't been able to find elsewhere and this site has it.

Coincidentally, I got this epiphany too a couple of nights ago and got up at 2AM and started searching online if this has been done before Unfortunately though, I haven't been able to find any credible source online where they did this and it worked. I'm inclined towards this option the most because then it means that I get to keep everything else the way it is and have the outlets made where they are the most convenient. I believe it should be possible, I could have the tanks tig welded if the material on the OEM radiator is thick enough to be welded on. If you have had any experience with this, please let me know, that would further help me decide to go this route.
