Assalamualikum Everyone. Recently my father purchased a Pridor from Adyala Road Dealership, Rawalpindi. Personally I was excited as I was new to bike riding and all.
Unfortunately there were 2 problems right off the bat. One, the mechanics told me not to take it above 40-60 for now. Understandable, but the bike didnt go above 40 itself no matter how hard i throttled. Ignored it for now, phir araam se hi chalayi. Though Last week after 230kms on odometer it started going up to 60km/h. Mujhay thori tasalli hoi keh ahista ahista "engine khulay ga", as they say.
Doosra masla is rather concerning. When I downshift from the 4th gear, it proceeds to skip the 3rd and go down to 2nd, in just a single shift. Its extremely annoying as it sometimes downshifts normally to 3rd and sometimes to 2nd. I assumed a problem with the shifter pedal.
Took it to the mechanic today. He said that bhai shifter ka masla nai aisa kuch ni aap chalao theek hojaye ga blah blah. Jaatay hoye he tightened the clutch wire.
The same day i rode it for over 15-20 or so km. The clutch wire loosened up, the downshifting problem was still there, uper se aik aur masla aagya, the bike stopped going above 40, aisay jaisay 4th gear mei properly beth hi nahi raha tha.
Can somebody please suggest what to do now? The problems have gotten worse. All this makes me think about what people think when saying "Mei to honda hi leysan".
