Almost 12 year I have been managing my self with CD 70 with no major issues (by major
issues I mean “engine has never been opened….), despite the level un-comfortability
specially during longer ride when your bump become totally un-feel-able.
Now it’s time for an upgrade because every machine has its Limits, so does this one
and it seems to be reaching its potential.
Upgrade:
In Pakistan upgrading from CD 70 is most probably CG 125 or the new boy Ybr, both of them has their cons and limits but almost falls in the same category.
CG is a basic solid build but in styling and comfort Ybr definitely got its points.
Meanwhile while surfing over the internet, came to know that Honda Pridor 2020 model is
going to be launched soon with some changes (usually graphics) and a new color
in the end of November, 2019.
So, I waited….
Finally, pictures were revealed over the internet which looks awesome and after a decade
with red & black, new Blue color looks beautiful.
Beauty was not enough as I knew noting in respect of Mr. Pridor. So, I had to start
all over again, online research, reviews, videos etc. With mixed reviews, it was
definitely a risk but had to take it and my plan was to go the Blue one. Atlas Honda
regional office was contacted, according to them they had already dispatched
and delivered the new lot to the major showrooms in Rawalpindi. So, I took the
money and went to a famous 5s Honda dealership in Rawalpindi but surprised, as there were all of the news lot present expect Pridor. Showroom Honor said (bahi Pridor to pechary sa he nae a rha jab aya ga to aap ko bta dain gain)
But the it inside story was that Honda was planning to upgrade the prices as well.
So, I asked him to please inform me when the new model came and he notes down my mobile
number and promised (which was never fulfilled).
After a week or so Honda announced its news prices and all of sudden new lot was magically
appeared all over the dealerships. Again, I went but this time Alhamdulillah
got lucky.
As my plan was to go with the brand-new Blue color but after watched it in detail with
a naked eye it doesn’t look as promising as it should be, the red one with a brand-new
black front visor was as shinny as always, after finalizing the paper work Alhamdulillah
bought the red one with a total price of 104,500/-
Some early Views:
After three weeks and 600 Km
Same day, after 2km heard noises from the engine, while clutch is pressed in the 2nd
and 3rd gear, which was resolved by minor clutch adjustments.
Back Suspension is no doubt soft which make the ride very comfortable.
Front Suspension is also soft, (I mean very soft) which make the handle very unstable
similar to if the front wheel is wobbling.
Fuel consumption is almost 70 to 80 km per liter. (with maintaining a speed of 40 to
60 km/h)
Alhamdulillah, Overall the bike is Comfortable, Economical and durable.
There are certain issues some can be fixed and some can’t, you just need to find a
way to live with it.
