First of all, never, I repeat never go the route of first gathering the budget and then blindly hand it over to a mechanic. Make a specific list of task, e.g. oil leaks? okay, what is leaking, get engine bay cleaned of gunk and grime with detergents and degreasers, figure out source/s of leaks and then go tackle them one by one. For reborn, the real common leaks are Valve cover gasket (~3k Rs for new honda genuine), Vtec solenoid gasket (~3k Rs new honda genuine) and cam side cap (1.5k rs new honda genuine). Remaining sealing points are Front seal around 1.5k rs genuine and oil pan (Permatex ultra black rtv ~2k rs). The timing cover seldom leaks on this engine, if so another Permatex ultra black required. Rear main seal should be checked only after all these are sorted out as that requires taking either the engine or transmission out.
Valve cover and Vtec solenoid bolts MUST be torqued to spec with a torque wrench.
Regarding body work, identifiy the areas and the damage type, i.e. scratches, dents, rusting, previous repair failing and see if you either need a full paint job or some parts. Use best quality paint materials (i.e. Standox/Glasurit), cheaping out on the paint quality renders the whole job useless in a few months. The denter/painter should also be competent enough to know the concept of rust prevention and what it requires.
