Honda vezel bad average

Hello Aoa.I have a honda vezel 2015 RU4 model hybrid.Iam getting very bad average like 12 at max and 14-15 on long.I changed the oil and oil filter recently.I couldnt find any airfilter for honda vezel near my house so i just got the old one cleaned.The oil change guy told me to get the genuine air filter for honda vezel and it would affect the average alot.So i need expert opinions that should i go for the 5000 airfilter for honda vezel and will it affect my fuel consumption?

First of all, keep this thing in mind that your Vezel is 4WD, therefore, it is not possible to get the fuel average as good as 2WD and I think the average you're getting from your 4WD Vezel is okay. Messing with it may result in even the worst average.

Secondly, other than just making your ride feel a little lighter, there's nothing much you can expect from changing the air filter to a genuine one, it will not make much effect on the fuel average of your ride.

The rest is your choice.

Yes it will effect but not that much.
dont expect the miracle that you will get the 16 17 km per litre unless you dont clean the hybrid battery cooling fan it add upto 4 to 6 km/litre. So better clean that first than go for the next option. Cooling fan is located under the rear seat of toyota cars but not sure about the vezel you can clean it by your self by watching YouTube its simple.

Absolutely no need to get the fan serviced, unless you're unaware of the vehicle's history.
The hybrid fan is placed such that it doesn't get blocked easily by the dust. From my experience; it can easily go 5 years without requiring any cleaning. Even then the dust accumulated wouldn't be significant.

If you really want to experiment; try adding the liquimoly injector cleaner in your tank (only the exact recommended quality), and run the car on that tank for a few kms on highway, plus high rpm and low load: mixed conditions. After doing so, see if the mileage improves somewhat.
