Honda vezel hybrid recall April 2016

So, because of the great reviews I'm presently going to buy one... now this!! Electrical problem? Anyone can shed some light on this please... help

Can anybody on this forum tell if a vezel car is manufactured in 2015 as per the chasis number and in the documents it says its a 2016 model...is this a 2016 model or 2015.....thanks

Recall is only for models RU1 & RU2 which are non hybrid CVT transmission models. If you are planning on buying Hybrid with Dual Clutch Transmission you don't need to worry about this recall.

Honda Worldwide | February 10, 2014 "Recall of All-New Fit Hybrid and Vezel Hybrid"

the flaw is specifically for the hybird and 7 spd dct,

though there are other ways to console oneself including buying one with the latest manufacturing which may not have this flaw but the above statement is not one of them

again this does not need discussion as it has already been discussed numerous time on the forum, a forum search is all what anyone needs to know about this issue.

I believe they do but am unsure of the exact link, will post here if i ever find it.

As for the recall mentioned by@arzaam.bhatti, i guess you should watch out from buying hybrid models from before mid 2014? Other than that, i myself have been driving a late 2015 Vezel along with many others who have not found a problem SO FAR.

It was not meant to be a hostile response apoligies if it came across that way and as far 2 days ago recall goes that affects only vezel and fit sold in japan the hrv remains uneffected as its imported from thailand and in absense of direct vin check on honda japan website it is still would mot be inaccurate to say the hybrid isnalso effected as both use same electric power steering system.

I personally think the previous recalls were more important than this current one
As to the 100s and 100s of vezels already imported this recall would mean nothing as even if the issue occured nothing can be done now neither the recall will be able to he performed here so for current owners it does not matter, as for future owners if recalls mattered then they would not have thought about the car in the first place due to lack of official after sales support and presence of previous big recall
And if they were not concenred about the remote possibility of that issue ever happening then this new one should not affect them either

On the other hand another recall just adds fodder to doubters about the support ans reliability of this vehicle in the long run after a few years from now.

As far as your car is Hybrid and have RU3 OR RU4 model, its safe (So far) - and hopefully will remain safe InshaAllah.
