Honda vs Toyota and Why?

btw: Yamaha is NOT a Sub-Division of Toyota Motor Corp.

They are Different entities having a small financial alliance and NOTHiNG ELSE!

When Yamaha builds Toyota its Engines, its not a sub-company working for Toyota BUT a Different Entity Researching and Developing Technology FOR Toyota in return of Money!

Toyota hire's Yamaha to make for it, Engines.

Thus; In Engine Technology, Honda is frimly ahead of the Rest.

Cylestyne bhai has already givin the figrures of more than 1 million toyota recalls... I dont want to post those figures again...

There is no doubt Honda is far ahead of evry other manufacturer when it comes to engine technology...

Producing bigger engines dsnt mean they are better engines...

Honda's theme is to produce smaller compact PowerFul engines with great fuel economy...

OK, today I read enough of Toyota vs Honda posts. I'm not much of a tech guy when it comes to engines etc but this is what I learnt. Toyota has much better resale, easier to maintain, reliable, comparatively cheaper and people here prefer Toyota. The bottom line? I STILL LOVE HONDA.

The discussion might have run out of gas but I'm still confused at the answers and war of the words which it generated. I believe the Topic "Honda vs Toyota and Why?" was meant, to debat the personal experiences but I wonder how many hits Google might have recieved in response.

I wud suggest that all the replies should be deleted and only the one which are authentic according to the owners of both vehicles be excluded. Authentic means real life experiences, not just heard from him, heard from her, he said that, google said that, blah blah blah.....

just my thoughts....

Love toyota

Reason: was coming back from lahore today on my altis. Man the car zips along overtakes and handles real good (on 205/55/15R) yokohoma tyres. Real peppy Acceleration. Felt the power, control and security, even the brakes. Overall i've driven alot of corollas and i love em. Driven my cuz's civic, drive was really smooth and luxurious but did'nt feel excited even after pushing the car to it's limit, handling was weird (maybe it's just me) brakes weren't as good as the altis (no offence honda fans) but the car DID feel luxurious.

I had more fun with the altis, more power. Felt really luxorious and soft and computer/robotic feel in the Civic.

toyota and honda basic line is nothing but economic motoring in which case vote goes to toyota. I dont want headaches of bmw when driving an accord.

for performance mortoring, you have the lexus, accura, bmw, AUDI, VW and out fav pointed three..benz

an analogy to the fact presented before in this discussion, I just came to know today that :

BMW would be using Peugeot/Citroën four cylinder engines in the 1-series ...
PORSCHE uses a VW engine in a Cayenne, not to mention the whole chassis.... Now what do we say about this ???
