Honda has a very specific segment, their marketing makes it obvious they're not making a car for the general masses nor are they competing to become the world's biggest automotive producer. While they make lots of other stuff (Airplanes anyone?), Honda focuses on high quality innovative vehicles which don't really have a competitor in the trueist sense (sure every car has a competitor, Civic/Corolla, Accord/Camry etc). If they started going for the masses they'd lose their innovative edge. Their motto I believe is the "power of dreams". If dreams were a mass market vision then we'd all be driving the same boring vehicles.

well my power of dreams will be lamborghini, ferrari, buggati and if i wanted luxery the RR....

these companies make exclusive cars.. that every one dreams of, i dont think one drems of honda.. well they once tried to make a dream car, NSX, and failed... beleve me these copact and subcompact cars are meant for the masses... aand target is to sell numbers...

sir honda is really awesome in making cars but they are not as good in making SUV's. I think koreans are also not bad in making good SUV's.

well nxs is a very wel balanced machine, but the problem that every one poitns out is the fact that honda tried to get the best of both worlds and they failed... the idea that a super car has a soul, its a driving pleasure, this was missing in it...

The NSX is a very capable and respected car, the world over. I really don't think its a failure.

^usually the "vela crowd" who have suddenly taken over this site and make it into another orkut, instead of a focussed car related site. every day the same threads, every day, honda Vs toyota. seems they have no concept of searching. they need to grow up and realise there is a bigger world out there.

my vote is for honda...loved toyota alot long ago...when we 1st bought the 2000 2.0d
but in 2001,got the city...nd forgot the junk in no time.honda provides up to date technology...which toyota(atleast in pakistan) does not even come close to.

who 1st introduced metallic colors,vvti,vtc,prosmatec,cvt,crystal lights,honda nav track,rear flat floor,oriel,auto tranny,4 wheel disk brake,abs,alloys,seat hieght adjuster,16valve in 1300cc engines,g-con,vario to pakistani market...???
i guess no other than honda...!!!

Bro on paper your comparisons are right.

In real world, Acura TSX / Honda Accord V6 donesn't stand a chance against IS350. The DI 3.5 Toyota mill sends previous generation M3 to dust and IS350 is RWD while TSX is FWD.

Es series - Acura TL (3.2) [LOL!! You kidding me right? FWD ES vs RWD TL!]

Ls series - Price unmatched, though RL stands a chance [NO it doesn't because RL compares to Lexus GS]

Avalon - Accord V6 [NO! Accord is a worthy competitor to Camry! Avalon shares alot with the ES]

Land Cruiser/GX/LX - Honda doesnt compete at this level, though MDX stands a chance [MDX looks like a grandchild of LC]

no offense but just straighten your facts!
To correct you, technically on paper, RL competes with GS, TL competes with IS.
