Term Horsepower is not new for commen man in Pakistan. Before 1960's every one use Horsepower (Hp) instead of CC. At that time petrol was also purchase per Gallon not Litre. Than our govt decided to follow IS Units (international Satandard Units) than British Standard Units for measurement and things changed from Gallon to litre, Miles to km, pounds to Kg etc.
Where power is the main concern, trackter and truck drivers in Pakistan still using Hp and its common amoung them.
