Hot water DIY recirculating pumps for instant hot water

Hello all,

has anyone ever had any experiences with hot water recirculating pumps in pakistan?

in my house we have to wait at least 3-4 minutes for the hot water, sometimes longer in the furthest bathrooms....so am looking into solutions for quicker hot water.

i came across this and it seems like quite a good solution,

'A quick-delivery unit is the most efficient method and the kits include everything needed for do-it-yourself installation. You just unscrew the water lines underneath the sink in the bathroom furthest from the water heater. Attach flexible pipes (in the kit) from the water valves to the unit. Attach another set of flexible pipes to the faucet and plug it in.
There is a tiny high-speed pump, diverter valve and temperature sensor inside the unit. When you want hot water, the pump starts drawing hot water from the water heater. Instead of dumping the cold water from the long pipe down the drain, the diverter valve puts it back into the cold water line.
As soon, within 10 seconds, as the hot water reaches the unit under the sink, the temperature sensor shuts off the pump'

I wonder if theres a cheaper local solution? Ad additional geyser plus piping will probably cost something similar with a whole lot more hassle.

how badly is your piping designed that it takes 3-4 minutes ? seriously? Next time actually time the delay with a stopwatch....Best solution is proper design while building house...

but for now, a better solution is instant gas heater. I just bought one canon 7liter/min just an hour ago....will be fitted either today evening or tomorow morning, will tell you if it works good...and it cost 7500rs excluding fitting. That is cheaper than this pump you are wanting to buy for $200 (rs.20,000+).

not inside the bathroom, outside the bathroom. But yeah, one per bathroom. Or if you want multiple places to use it (like kitchen + bathroom + bathroom 2+ etc etc), then you use one at a time, not simultaneously. And then there will be delay due to piping too if you use multiple locations. So yeah, in general one per bathroom. And it should be fitted close to the bathroom, you may even put it inside, but it can be dangerous I guess, so......

but other than that, it's a great thing, I've seen it installed at an uncle's place....worked real nice...

there is no advantage to that....the instant geyser is much more efficient...it should run separately...to save cost on plumbing etc..

Instant geyser only fires at high gas pressure. At low gas pressure it doesn't work. I had it 2 years ago but since last 2 years when ever gas pressure gas down it doesn't work.

I have good gas pressure....You can easily use gas cylinders with it too....plus there's also instant electric geysers available...

and besides, if gas pressure is low, you're not really gonna get properly hot water from traditional gas geysers either...so.....

Instant geysers are the thing now. One per bathroom is the rule basically and they are not at all dangerous.
I am using an electric one though and it is working fine. No major change in electricity bill
