Hotel/Itinerary Recommendations for Lahore-Khunjerab Trip

Hi Guys,

Would appreciate if someone experience can give feedback on:
1) Travel times
2) Road conditions (if I'll need to rent a 4x4 on any leg of the journey)
3) Most scenic hotels at overnight places
4) Other destinations to consider on this route

Just estimates. Need someone to verify/fix them.

Day 1 : Ok
Day 2: Ok
Day 3 : Ok

Day 4 : Not Ok.. For this day you should just visit forts and Eagle Nest and try to have some rest in Hunza.. Don't go back to Gilgit on this day, stay in Hunza for night

Day 5: Attabad Lake and Khunjerab can be easily visited on same day.. Just start your journey early in the morning and u can enjoy at both places on same day.. You are wasting your time by visiting one place on one day and second place on other day.. Again I would recommend you to stay at Hunza because Gilgit is hot city while Hunza will be cold..

Day 6: It will take around 8-9 hours to reach Fairy Meadows from Hunza.. Hunza to Raikot Bridge is around 3-4 hours.. Then you will have to hire jeep from Raikot Bridge to reach Tatoo Village (1.5 hours).. Then u have to trek for 3 hours to reach Fairy Meadows..

Astore is completely different route i guess.. (I haven't visited Astore & Rama Lake but I am sure u can't visit all these in one day, U will need atleast 2 more days for that).. So better stay at Fairy Meadows for one extra day..

2) For Fairy Meadows u will have to hire jeep, while other places mentioned in my comment can be visited by simple vehicle..

3) Hotels depend upon your budget..

4) U can consider Nanga Parbat Base camp on day 7.. From Fairy Meadows it is 4 hours trek.. But these 4 hours will not regret u once u reach there.. That will be amazing experience for u..

Hotel rates are fixed in Hunza by commissioner and list is attached when u enter Hunza Aliabad or Karimabad (U can ask anyone there), so u can decide accordingly..

How much time it will take to reach Raikot bridge from chilas?
How much time it will take to reach chilas from babusar?
N how much time it will take to reach babusar from Naran?
Can we cover the beauty of Hunza in 2 days?
Altit fort, baltit fort, Eagle nest day1.
Atta bad lake , Khunjrab pass on day2.
Other places to visit in Hunza?

Which one is better to visit. Hunza or Skardu? Using Faw v2 vehicle for the tour.

1) Chillas to raikot is around 1.5-2 Hours.
2) Babusar to Chilas is around 2 hours (don't remember exactly)
3) Naran to Babusar is also around 2-3 hours max (driving slowly)
4) Yes Hunza can be covered in 2 days as Main Points are Khunjerab Pass and Attabad Lake, which can be visited in One day.. While on 2nd day, u can visit forts, eagle nest etc..
5) Don't have idea about other places as I have just visited these mentioned ones.
6) Both places are amazing.. As I haven't been to Skardu so I can't say which is better but if u have time, visit both places!!

Hunza/Skardu trip on Eid vacations

Assalam o Alaikum! I want to visit Hunza or Skardu on Eid vacations. I am thinking to start my journey from Rwp on Eve of Eid first day means on eve of 26th June. Will reach at Naran in morning of Tuesday at around 8am. After having breakfast n little stay, I will resume my journey at 9am towards Hunza.
