just few kms ahead of ayubia thoughthere are not too much hotels but only few but a very calm place for those who love nature and silence instaed of city hustle bustle

Went to Swat, mingora, kalam recently (1st May 2015)

Here the reviews of hotels that we stayed in:

Hotel Name: Hotel Hills City, Mingora
Location: Near fiza gat
Standard: Very very good, Neat clean. Also got good kitchen.
Nice environment for families
Also nice view of river from rooms
Rate: we bargained and managed to get a suite having 2 rooms [1 double, 2 single beds] and a bath for just around 2500. on their rate list it was priced at 6000.

Hotel Name: Diamond hills
Standard: Average
Kitchen: Average
Rate: We managed a deluxe room having 4 single beds for 3000. On their rate list it was priced around 5000
Also suitable for families

Hotel white Palace swat Marghzar
this hotel has historical value and got very nice scenic views
but other than standard was average. sheets, blankets were not very clean.
Hot water was partially available. kitchen also average.
they charge 3000-4000 for a normal bed room having a double bed.

In case you are visiting kalam, mingora, swat and need a rent car jeep service in kalam mingora then you can contact Iqbal Hussain (Jeep Car rent service kalam mingora). He was very nice, economical and specially recommended for families.

Visited sawat in mid April
Not much tourists there at that point of time
Stayed at the rose palace at fizagat bypass rd
Clean hotel and very understanding owners with ups and hot water
Decent room with double king sized bed and one single clean sheets and towels and blankets @ 1800 Rs only

There is a AJK Tourism rest house with 2 rooms availabale for rent. You have to get advanced booking from Bagh or Muzaffarabad. Usually it is not available as in summer it is usually booked in advance.
Also there is another option and it is called Benazir Palace. It is adjacent to the Toursim resthouse and is an excellent choice to stay. Room rent is a little bit on the higher side (Rs. 4000 per room/suite) but it is worth it. We got it for Rs. 3000 per room due to some contacts.

If you really want good and affordable then "Pine Park" and there must not be any other choice.

You will love this place I can assure you.

First choice should be Pine Park which is expensive somehow if Pine Park z not affordable then u may check "Paradise Motel" which z also a good option..reasonable rates.

I do not think so Pine Park can be expensive you just check first according to your budget.
