How can we clean our fuel tank?

i used STP fuel system cleaner yesterday. just filled my fuel tank up to half and poured that thing in it. it cleans fuel injectors as well as carburetor. bought it for Rs. 230 from melody market.

bro can u tell me k app mechanic k pass gaay thay k khudi kia hai..by filling ur tank half with petrol then putting that liquid in it....

I have a little question here who are using these lequides;
where goes that particals which make the injecters 'dirty'?
What i think the dirty particals remain the part of the system.

if the car is old then the permanent solution would be to get the fuel tank washed with petrol

GS150 fuel tank rust cleaning-my experience
1. First clean the tank with warm water
2. Fill the tank with white vinegar for 12 to 15 hours and keep shaking according to your convenience.
3. Use Baking Soda after draining out vinegar to neutralize the acid (vinegar). about 100 to 200g soda with about 3L water for about half an hour. Shake well and drained it out.
4. Clean the tank with warm water to let all soda wash out.
5. Dry the Fuel tank using hair dryer or air pressure or under sunlight.
5. Let the tank in sun light to dry out completely to slow down the rusting process.

7. Use good magnet at the lowest bottom of the tank but far from the fuel tap. This will helps to stop rusting traces to move towards fuel tap.
