How do Honda tyres compare to other brands?

I am going to change my tyres cause they have run their course.

Tyres are a heavy investment but the people from Honda centre said that I should just get Honda official tyres for my City 2012 which will cost me around 26k. They said they are more than sufficient enough to run the roads here.

Should I go for them? What is the difference between Honda ones and other brands? Obviously the cost of other brands means they provide better quality but are they worth the extra 25k? Any brand in particular do you guys recommend?

If you are comfortable with these tires, then go for these tires. Some people are not comfortable, they go for change. These are not bad tires as you have already experience.

Honda does not make tyres, and in Pakistan, General is the official tire for Honda.
These are only good only if you drive the car and are not concerned about road trip, noise level, hardness etc. If you're an enthusiast, these tyres will end up irritating you on long drives.

Honda city comes with General tires (Pakistan) "Euro Star" 175/65 R 15, if you were happy with them previously just get a new pair directly from an authorized dealer of General tires they should cost around 18-20k max for 4 brand new tires.

Don't but from dealership as they will charge extra for no reason, like seen from the 25k quote.

Also don't forget to check manufacturing date on tires no matter which brand you buy , it will be written as example:3519 this will be read as 35th week of 2019.

I have not experienced them yet. I will just be using the car to travel in city or to Lahore sometimes.

Dear, there is huge difference in terms of amount between 25 k tires and 50+ k tires. Same way, quality differs. After all it depends upon your budget.

I have not experienced Honda tires before and I plan on travelling locally (to may be Lahore sometimes) will these tires be good enough for a smooth drive or do you recommend some other brand?

Dear, Atlas Honda Pakistan does not make tyres for their Honda automobiles.

In case of Honda City, they deploy General Euro Star 175/65/R15 tyres, and if you'll be buying tyres from them, they'll cost you much pricier, when compared to the same tyres being bought from any authorized dealer of General tyres, Pakistan.

I would suggest, if you are only interested in buying General tyres, then buy from any of their authorised dealers, instead of Honda center. They'll cost you much cheaper.

Else if, want to go aftermarket, and tight on budget too, consider opting for Bridgestone or Dunlop tyres in 185/65/R15 tyre size, and any series, which matches your budget.

Sir these general tires come factory fitted in corolla, city, civic. 90% of users drive these cars wit stock tires on all sort of terrains and at all sorts of speeds. They offer exactly what you are paying for them, a cheap Pakistani made brand new tire , it wont be as soft or quiet as other tires but the trade off is on the price.

One thing you can be sure of is they will be new and safe if driven within speed limits.

So it all depends on how much you are willing to spend
