How do i get scratches fixed on my Aqua

Assalamualikum,

Banda mehnat kar ke char paisay jor ke shoq se gari leta hai. Just to get keyed by some sadistic POS. Eid mubarak to me i guess.

I’m a complete novice to cars and it’s my first one. I know there are tutorials online as to how i can buff these out.
I’m not very comfortable doing it myself. Any suggestions where i can get these fixed in ISB would be helpful.

AOA, the paint comprises of multiple layers. Correction depends on how deep is the scratch or in other words how many layers deep the scratch has gone. The topmost layer is lacquer or clear coat. Scratches that do no go deeper than the clear coat are easily removed and if done properly will not be visible standing a few feet from the car. The next layer after the clear coat is the actual paint or base coat. Here is where it gets tricky. If the scratch has just slightly disturbed this layer it "may" be able to buff out. The next layer below the base coat is the primer. If the scratch has gone into the primer, I am afraid it will not buff out. See pic below:

The scratch looks like upto the clear coat. This will be easily removed with compound.

Simple way to check clear coat scratch is to do a water test. If applying water to the scratch hide the scratch until water is applied then it is a scratch on the clear coat. You should also buy scratch remover, it really helps in minimizing scratch visibility.
