Hi All,
I was browsing through some of the Japanese used car exporters' inventory lists and I felt convinced that it's not just Suzuki, Toyota or Honda that are busy emptying our pockets but the Japanese used car exporters are also looting the poor Pakistanis. We all understand how the Japanese trio, working in Pakistan, are diligently sucking on our pockets and, therefore, I don't find it necessary to talk about them here. But, many of us might not know how the exporters are conducting their unjust business. In this post, I am going to share my thoughts on why I feel that Japanese exporters are exploiting our import rules.
Upon visiting exporters websites, I realized that the vehicles that can be potentially imported are a minimum of 100% more expensive compared to those which cannot be imported now but were importable a year ago. For instance, I looked at 2012 models of some of the 660cc and 1000cc cars and compared their prices with the units that are manufactured in 2013 or more recent years. I observed that certain 2012 models, of fair condition, could be bought for less than $1000 but the identical models manufactured in 2013 were priced at more than $4000.
I don't have finance background and understand fairly that there are a number of variables that affect prices. But, I'm sure that Japanese are taking good advantage of our import policy and sucking our pockets unreasonably.
Disclaimer: Some of you may not agree with my opinion. But, it's just what I think.
