How long does clutch lasts

Tldr: Clutch judders and delays on cold starts, since 70,000kms now it is 125,000kms and it still works the same, should i replace it?

I have a GM2 Honda City MT 1.3
And ever since the car clocked 70,000km there is a slight judder when releasing clutch (like it doesn't fully engages right away) this is much more prevalent on cold starts - Clutch function otherwise is very good - I can do a launch and there is even tyre spin even at 2nd gear (1st to 2nd shift at higher rpms)

Now that I have done 125,000kms the issue has not worsend it is still the same - I suppose it is still good for a few years even.

But those of you guys who changed clutches on theirs how many kms did it last and should I just change it as preventive maintenance?

Clutch life solely depends on the driving habits. Have seen cars having burnt clutches as low as 30k kms. at 125k, you may be at 70% of its life or maybe hanging on the last straw. Its better to replace it as preventative measure so the flywheel does not get damaged once it starts slipping.
Recently replaced clutch of 7th gen civic at 140k Kms (wasnt slipping), expected it be in dead shape, however it still had 1mm over its service limit (obviously replaced it all). While at it, you must replace the engine rear main seal, with new genuine seal, its something you never want to take the transmission out again for. Also inspect the flywheel for warpage, give it a good clean with 80 grit sand paper.

replaced my civic 97 original clutch at 250,000 kms

you should flush your clutch oil and inspect both clutch cylinders. check closely for seepage.

replace the rubber washer kits if required. these cylinders wear out before the actual clutch

Currently at 204k with the original clutch, city. I have a bit of judder for a long time now, I believe after the 150k mark. On the jazz forums for same gen models, seems to be common. I did read there about slipping the clutch to smoothen the flywheel or something of that sort.

Sounds like I don't need to replace it right away I can live with a bit of judder - I have heard that at around 150k it gives out completely and thrust bearing is toast as well - but since mine is still going forward just wanted to make sure there is no inherent harm in driving with an almost worn out clutch.

My local mechanic suggested to keep driving I even took it to 160-170kph and it still wouldn't skip a beat on the higher revs.

This thing is built better than I had expected. I appreciate all you guys input.
