Karachi to Lahore in 15 hours is VERY IMPRESSIVE! Infact, it might even be a record! I have done 100+ trips of Lahore-RYK(The central point b/w karachi and lahore)-Lahore and I know how difficult it is considering the road and truck/bus traffic. I have once done a RYK-Lahore trip in 6.5 hours including 2 breaks! This however was on the day of Eid-ul-Adha so we encountered little to none traffic and we were on a LC which meant no slowing over bad patches of road

but the high rpm messed my brains so bad, i heard the cry of vvti for quite some time till i dozed off!

Agreed to unware..
Driving in foreign country is like smooth sailing on a calm sea in a big ship,whereas driving in Pakistan is like facing 50 ft waves in a 10 ft tin coffin.
I wonder if any desi-foreigner can drive LHR-KHI or ISB-GILGIT in a Mehran.I'm pretty sure most will give up after half to 3rd quarter of the way...

I drove almost 1260km for 13-14 hours but mostly on motorway (M2)
Car was Suzuki Liana!!!

Lahore > Islamabad (Went for a personal work)
Islamabad > Bhera (I was returning after a stay of 30min in Islamabad)
Received a call about death of a relative in Lahore. Dad asked to bring uncle and his family from Islamabad.
Bhera > Islamabad (I went back to Islamabad)
Islamabad > Lahore (Wend back to Lahore!!!)

Then at home, I slept for 10 hours too ...

max i ve driven was sargodha-lhr-peshawar.more then 7hrs cont. driving with JUST 1 stop at lahore airport for 20min, after that, next stop was peshawar
car was my city idsi. thats more then 700kms btw. that was choti eid day in 2008.

btw, the time/distance one car travel is directly related to the quality of road and car.i can drive from lahore-isb-lhr on a civic in one day but i cant drive from sargodha-gujranwala without getting tired, although the distance wud be 1/5th of that.

Mine longest drive was roughly 13.5 hours from Islamabad-Murree-Muzaffarabad-Sharda(In Neelum Valley). Started at 0600 AM and reached Sharda (Dowarian) in Neelum valley at about 1930 PM. Our stops were only for Namaz, Refueling, Lunch and Sight seeing. Total distance was a mere 300 KM. But the 160 KM road from Muzaffarabad-Dowarian was non existent and most of the driving was on Pebbles, Mud and springs crossing the road. My ride was a Suzuki Mehran 2008 Model.

18 to 20 hours approx without any long break.

one time its 15 hour on 2nd day of BAKRA EID.

My journey was from hyderabad to sukkur then quetta .700 kms approx: and that was of 9 hours and car was 98 paraDo. i believe that if u r fully fresh then u can drive up to 12-16 hours continously....

Ive driven from London to Scotland 398 miles many times ...takes like 8hrs then in Pakistan Ive driven from Lahore to abottabad straight one short pit stop to empty my tank for 10 mins...on the other hand Ive seen my dad drive around Europe and gulf ... during the gulf war of Iraq and Kuwait he drove 17000km from Kuwait to Iraq n then to turkey then Iran then quetta and then Lahore it took us 17 days.....

Yup, we set out for this purpose. To get a good time. Though we were aiming at 13-14 hours max. As mentioned, it was the second day of Eid ul Fitr, so very little traffic. And also the roads were in very impressive condition, except for this one bad patch just before Multan (if my memory serves me right) - I heard from a friend who used the N5 soon after, that there was a lot of road work going on, hence diversions and speed breaks - we didn't face that. We were in a Civic. And it is to be noted that we didn't even stop to eat on this stretch, home made kebab rolls were carried when leaving from Karachi Lol.

Good luck And the time quoted is true. I'm actually surprised that nobody here has quoted the same time, or better for that matter.
