How much price of used car effected with repaint

my guess for Pakistan 25% less value.

In USA not that much.

dont know but i can give u an example my cozin bougt a car 4 720000 total genuine paint good conditon and same car with same condition but both sides repaint was sold 4 690000

that is not the reason. In usa, people do not look for originality as much as in Pakistan. If a car runs and drives well, it suffices. Secondly in USA, car are considered total anyway for accidents that would be considered minor in Pakistan.

In USA, while shopping for a car, it never crossed my mind twice to worry about the accident issue. I drove the car, felt satisfied and purchased the car

yes it is effected...actually mostly ppl here in pak do paint to hide the accident of a car.....but as in few cases ppl do it as it needs a new paint....they have to face a low drop price even u dont have an acidented car

i have a khyber and i did paint on it....its market was around 2 lakh and even after the paint it has the same .....

value also depand on how paint is done.....normal paint is done in between 14k to 20k

but if u get paint from company.....that will cost u double the price in market...but no 1 can figure out as repainted or orignal paint

and company painted car was more value then the local

u may get more price then market if some 1 who really think an old car needs repiant after some time.....but that person will be 1 of 1000 person

an old car with its fading paint will get better pricing than the same car repainted. the word "repaint" suddenly brings the idea of being accidented, which devalues the car

It also depends on the value of the car. Expensive luxury cars devalue more on repainting then small local cars. The main problem with repaint is that it can hide an accident impact.

The concept is only in pakistan..

i guess if a car is painted...complete repainted and very well painted....it should be a worthy car than the genuine one..

It happens only in Pakistan. Though you invest to improve car looks. Old engines which have passed lac of kms get more value than fresh engine installed. This concept doesn't work in other countries. They require car with good body and perfect engine rather than old genuine garbage.
