How practical is it to purchase 2003-2007 series 3 or series 5 BMW?

I was considering to update my car, currently I own a Honda civic 2003 model, I use it as my daily driver, 14-15 fuel average, 6 months and never been to workshop yet.

I see that there are many BMWs listed in the price bucket of 30-40 lacs. Are they any practical for a normal person to purchase and use as a daily driver?

What will be the maintenance cost and how often do you need it?
My confusion is that this seems like a very reasonable price for the features you get in those cars, then why don't many people purchase these German cars?

I'm new to cars so any guidance would be appreciated.

Salaam Hamza bhai - I have owned both a S Class and now a 7 Series, One thing that I can tell you with authencity is that a BMW can take more beating than a Mercedes and requires less maintenance.
Parts are expensive but these cars are bought with the understanding and agreement - more fuel and expensive parts but are worth it .

6 months and never been to workshop yet, mark these words - once you get a bmw, you'll never have the opportunity to say these again

although i don't work on german cars anymore, I would like my industry to flourish - so I want you and many others to buy german marques, specially BMWs.
