How steep is kiwai shogran road comoared to islamabad Peer Suhawa road?

Spacer in the rear only! Would that create mess too? Ok forget it.. lets see how much the floor touches without spacers. I am also starting to think that it is an over rated steep and bumpy track than it actually is. If 660 mira clears it.. reborn will clear it too inshallah.. I will be more cautious on bumps to slow it down.

Ok got the spacers installed and it is one hell of a thing to do on a civic 2006+ models.. anyway I tested it on the worst speed brakers in my area in lahore.. model town faisal town.. and it didnt dare to touch the road but mind it the ride is not at all smooth like it is with original suspension.. I l get the spacers hell out as soon as I l get back to lahore coz a prosmatec feels like an xli on cng after installation of spacers and installing spacers in a reborn is not a wise thing.. Its not meant for this.. but anyways my car is scratch less so I didnt want the floor (mufflers panels and fuel tank) to get screwed.. I l be leaving on friday morning with my kids and my parents. My cousins cultus with family is also accompanying... I hope I l have fun.. I l update when I l return. . I am back on pakwheels after a long long time!...

Well thanks for your replies guys. Driving seems no problem on the steep you have mentioned but if the road is in bad condition and can ruin the car, I might hire a jeep. Is there any reliable parking lot available at kewai where your cars are safe coz it looks like another family is accompanying us in cultus.

We are staying at arcadian river side khanian. How much time it will take from kewai to khanian if we park our cars there? I want to save time coz on my way back from shogran, I want to go straight to murree and going back to khanian doesnt makes sense so again if anyone can recommend a relibale parking lot at kewai or the hotel at kewai offering secure parking of vehicles.

Arcadian, Khainian...what a place. One of my all time favorite locations. I dont know what the road conditions are now...in my last trip in 2011 we had a tough time driving as there was NO road. I suggest you go to Shogran either on your way up or on your way back. Have fun!

@skill, thanks for the info! I would be careful on the uphill turns.. but I hope that with a car totally packed with passengers and luggage, it will come down to its original position as with only front driver. Bro I have checked the profile of my tyre is 60 R15 205 instead of 65 so it was already low and when civics are fully packed they tend to be low. They are ideal for motorways but as people told me there were huge bumps on shogran road, that would have been a more trouble for me! I will be careful not to turn on higher speed.

The spacer used is 3/4"

I went there last year Oct in my City 2012. Road is mostly damaged, only problem we faced was on a small patch where road reconstruction was going on, so we have to get a toe from 4X4 jeep to get through it.

Well well well.. lovely trip.. road till naran is ok... but if u wana screw ure ride... take it up to shogran. . Its not about steepness... its only a 1 km patch built in between which is called road.. and I wont recommend taking ure own car in the current scenario. Park your car at kewai.. take a jeep and enjoy your trip. Your will not be needing your car at shogran. Again if you want your panels fuel tank and floor to get ruined then take it coz there are bumps and gravels on the road.. Even the car hits from front on the way back in 1st gear.. and there are some places where it would be difficult to cross the other side traffic if the other driver is scared.. he will not drive on the edge and there is where traffic jams. Lastly, due to some land sliding road was in very poor shape. A tractor was clearing the land slide and we had to cross from the four feet cleared path only.. rest of the side had to go from gravels mud and rocks.. so bottomline is that if you dont love your car then take it up. I am telling u the current situation of the road.. I went to peer suhawa also. Peer suhawa is a proper road.. kewai shogran is not a proper road for cars.

My advise is to park the car at Kewai and take a jeep or taxi. I paid 200 rupees a night last year to park the car at Kiwai and 800 to a taxi to Shogran.

driving nd road is not a problem at all but if ive read correctly u have low ground clearance nd tht might be a problem because the road is very steep in longer stretches as compared to pir suhawa so they have built quite huge bumps on the road to prevent the car from rolling downhill nd it might also provide some boost to the car...clearing these bumps might be an issue if ur car is lowered otherwise everything is perfectly normal

They have not built any bumps intentionality.. its all due to land sliding since 1996 and the road was never built again except a patch of 1 km..

Right said.. floor hits the ground even if u r driving carefully but at some places u have to press the pedal to ascend at sharp turns and it hits badly over there..
