Hi everyone,
Your method is spot-on: divide the kilometers driven (150 km) by the liters refilled (10 L) to get 15 km/L. Auto-stop is the way to go, as ibaloch777 suggested, since it ensures a consistent fill (usually close to the tank’s 55 L capacity for a Corolla). Topping up beyond auto-stop can vary due to air pockets or pump differences, which messes with accuracy.
For my own tracking, I use a kalkulatorpaliwa.com.pl to double-check consumption and plan trips, especially when testing different driving styles. It’s been handy for confirming km/L. A couple of questions:
Do you reset the trip odometer each time to track exact km? That’s helped me avoid errors.
Has anyone noticed better km/L with city vs. highway driving on the GLI-2010?
Would love to hear your tips for getting the most accurate fuel average!
