How to check authenticity of an seller

I came cross an add of a very good car that I Like. When I talked with the seller on whatsapp, he told me that his office is in tokyo japan, and the car will be delivired in 40 day in pakistan. Half of the payment will be upfornt and half on delivery.

My question is that how can I verify the authenticity of this seller. He is a new Member registered in 2023?

What is the normal procedure of buying in such cases?

Let me guess, the ad of the car is very lucrative and good value to money?

If I was in your shoes I would have stayed away from such promises or would atleast asked show me how many cars you have sold like this so far and then go and check.

My gut feeling tells me to stay away and rely on whatever you can tangibly check and verify.

Never hurry before buying a car like this
Recently bought a fresh import JDM car negotiated price got it pakwheels inspected plus auction sheet verified , brought the pay order but told them to bring the car and file to excise if all documents are ok only then you'll get pay order.
Got a lilttle bit of hesitation from seller, so told them I'm not interested and I won't be buying. They changed their tone really quickly and brought the car and file to excise , handed over the payorder after verification.

You can't trust ANYONE these days.

This is a fraud most likely. He'll take half your money that you're going to pay upfront and not deliver.

You're money is gone and theres nothing you can do about it.

Anyone in today's age asking for upfront payment is a fraud, be it property, cars, electronics, etc.
