How to check radiator cap?

My car is reducing water. After some days the overflow bottle is empty and radiator is low on water.
The radiator has been serviced and hose also replaced.

Someone told to replace the radiator cap.

My question is how to check if the cap is faulty? And what is the price of cap. car is civic 6th gen.

My opinion before changing the cap.
Just fill the water in the radiator plus bottle and just check is the radiator or bottle is leaking the water? Because may be while servicing it got some damage. Also check after starting the car may be hose pipe got leaked.
To check radiator and pipe just start the car fill up both the bottle and radiator and watch out the water leakage from both side of the radiator the water will not be dropping to ground because the water get soon evaporated after dropping on any hot surface only in case of hose pipe leakage.
Also check ke clip of pipe attached to the radiator at the bottom of the radiator.

If the cap have any leakage then the water/ coolant will be start leaking out around the cap of the radiator with in 4-5 mins of starting the engine. And as you mentioned that it has been leakage around week and there must be a fresh layer of corrosion near to cap. In case of cap leakage.
