ok here is a good news for Lahories who are quite extra conscious to buy the genuine local oils only.

There.is a very big store in Badami bagh, its name is PAKISTAN OIL STORE.
They are well known in the who market to keep the best quality goods only. Their main job is to supply oils to small dealers, distributors and shops. But can purchase 1bottle from them also.

caution: once you buy the oil from them, just stepped out and quickly stepped in again in the shop to return or change. Guess what, THEY WILL NEVER DO IT.

well I have little odd explanation.
The people who do this 2 number oil jobs, they already pay a little bit amount to the boys who works at oil changing shops so that after pouring the oil, they keep the bottle neat and clean. And specially save the sticker and don't let it get dirty with any oil stain.
Now they collect these bottles very nicely and refill them with the 2 number oil and supply again at different shops and especially at pumps.
Now if by chance you have to buy oil at such places, then observe the bottle closely. And try to find the flaws in printing, sticker, oil stain and especially the seal. Company's seals and local seals looks almost same but experts can find the difference very easily.
All it comes with being concern, little expert to distinguish and practice to diagnose.

Every other day many people already in this job come and visit our premises and try to convince and attract us with bigger profit margins. But we just simply show them the door to step out with advise never to come again.

Here is a tip.
Spare some time for learning. Go the market by yourself. Visit different oil shops, dig out to know their reputes, who is good one and who is not. Believe me, not only about the oils, you will find to learn a lot about cleverness of the oil biz, selling tricks, marketing attractions, distributors margins, schemes of the oil companies, etc. etc. Go to different shops and try to ask different questions like,
You have 3 Cars of different companies, what could be the suitable oils & filters for them? Tell them you don't know anything and note down their funny/tricky explanations. Try to meet with the shop owners and not with the oil change guys.

It may sound odd while you read this post, by I've literally done it many times and at the end of day, there is many things to learn from the market.
I don't recommend that we can get everything from interent & through computers only.

They are using this formula as a marketing trick to let everyone confirm about the originality of company products.
But among the local companies like Caltex, Shell, PSO, etc. The PSO engine oils are only better than "Guard's oil" especially for gasoline cars.
Whereas for truck drivers, PSO oils are ideal.

In the same budget, imported oils are available in the market. Especially PTT Performa & SIM oils. Price wise they are just same like local oils. But their quality wise performance is far better than Pak. domestic oils. This is what am regularly posting in my posts, but perhaps it will take years for Pak. people to know this fact. We just feel ourself attractive for oils based on advertisements or oil schemes.

My brother runs oil shop, and believe me. These days you can see the ZIC oils commercial on TV, and every 2nd guy coming to the shop is asking for the ZIC oil.
A month ago, Total advertisement was running on the TV, and every 2nd guy coming to shop was asking about Total's oil.
I find it really funny but this is lot of serious ignorance in our people.
