How to clean dashboard

Hi,
I just bought a car but that old owner was used to use that as a spare car so he never cleaned the dashboard and anything. i found that, my car has white spots and white lines on dashboard. Can anyone please guuide me that by how i remove that or is there any polish for removing that spots.

take the car to saddar or tariq road to those polish walas.They will take max rs200 and will do it for you.

use vinegar and 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate soda mix it well and use it on the dashboard,after that use any oil to polish it.it works wonders.

buy "black wax".. rub it all over and then wipe it with a clean cloth with some strength.....

Go to any car service shop n ask them to clean ur cars dashoboard . they will clean all the dust n spots by applying a mixture of petrol n surf .

yaar a special form material bottle is available its specifically for cleaning car interiors buy that its for 200rs just apply the foam and wipe away dash will be good as new :).

Try STP son of a gun wit anti shine, never use luster type to things to give shine to dashboard, shiny dashs look ugly

STP son of gun is the best solution for any kinda dashboard.

Luster only damages the surface of dashboard and gives funny CHAMAK look.

i have black wax but my dash is not black and i think black wax will mess with my grey dash.

try formula 1 vynile pollish.i used it for my car.it worked great.

1st what car you have....
2nd what type of stains or lines are they.......try getting them cleaned with some surf...are they going?,,,Lustre can give good results...if not lustre...try some imported dash liquid polish......but try to find that whats that...just dust or something else...

depends on the condition of dash, scratches wont go from any cleaning stuff, stains or thick jammed dirt can be washed by a strong solution of surf (wet cloth)n then apply anti shinning STP or any other brand!!

STP is good. try other similar products like Armor All and kiwis shine thingy. all similar stuff. but i like armor all the best.

Yaar i tried @blueone's suggestion and that really worked. I used vinegar and bicarbonate soda (backing soda) and left that for a while and then dip the tooth brush into that mixture and then brushed that in circluer motion and know what? stains gone. thanks @blueone.

Well act. that was not a stains or scratches .. i think that was plastic spots. and i think sunrays was the reason of changing the color of dash and those spots .. but thanks God .. all gone ( not dash .. i m talking about stains/spots ) hehee .. u guys are really helpful. Thanks again.
