How to clean Hyundai Santro Engine

Assalamualaikum
I have a Hyundai Santro 1.0 2004 model and I am wondering how to clean it's engine without causing a short circuit due to the exposed sensors. As per the warning by the company, the engine is not to be cleaned with water. I have tried high pressure air many times but no satisfactory result. I want to deep clean the engine as well as not cause any electrical issue. Someone recommended using diesel (petrol pump car wash) while other recommend using expensive products like polishes. Can someone guide me regarding this. Thanks

Why do you want to clean the engine?

Use dish soap and a small bucket of water, clean the area carefully by hand. Rinse using a garden hose or another bucket of clean water. Disconnect the battery. You don't need to hose it down like a dirty animal with a pressure washer.
