How to deal with petrol pump?

As i have posted my other thread regarding motorcycle advice. I thought i should ask you concerns about petrol pump.

I have no idea as a bike rider, where and how to handle petrol pumps. I mean i have heard, they cheat. They reset the counter to 0. What to say to the guy ? Should i say 100 rupees ka daaldo... ya phir 1 litre daaldo ?

You must think it is a funny question but no, i really have no idea how to go there... there are multiple filling areas... diesel, petrol etc etc regular and i don't know what else..

So for bike, where to go and stand and any other things to worry ?

go for petrol and ask him to put 100 rupees ka petrol in your bike tank.btw which bike u hav?if u hav 70 then u can cruise alot.

Corruption is already there, but we didnot notice it. Ever noticed why decrease or increase in petrol prices is always in paisa? Like 1rs 6 paisa? Even though we dont even use paisa format, millions of ruppes corruptions occurs only by so small ignorable point.

Try looking for reputable station in your area. Take a 1.5 litre bottle and ask him to pour 1.5 litre petrol. That way you can have an idea about authenticity of petrol pump

It was banned in Karachi too i think but xenerking, i think now it is allowed because of heavy usage/need of generators due to loadshedding.

The ban must have been taken into action, but fuel pumps are not really acting up on it. Filled 1 Ltr yesterday from PSO:)

Now don't say... you have to take generators with you to the pump to get the petrol for it

there is official ban on sale of petrol in bottles .. but very few who have a lot of sale follow this ban ... and they are in my big time cheaters..

regarding purchase for your bike ..
they sell in both ways .. either you demand the amount of petrol like 1ltr or anything that you want . or buy in rs .. they give both .. the machine is capable of serving both type of demands ..

in my opinion some petrol pumps even give full amount of petrol but still bike gives noticeably less mileage ..

so find a good pump first . by trial and loss ..

Basically, you go to any petrol pump.
There will be 2-5 pumps, and some are labeled" Diesel" and "Petrol"

For petrol, just follow the bikes. best guidance. Wait in line, if it takes too long, start pushing in, since "Queue" "Patience" is not a word in Pakistani mentality. Tell the pump operator amount of fuel. If you don't care about mileage, just get it done in Rupees, not litres.

So;
1)Find a reputable pump. Ask around
2)Locate the petrol dispenser
3)When it's your turn, open fuel cap and tell him amount" 100 rupees, 1 litre" etc.
4)Make sure the meter is reversed to O
5)When finished, close cap, make sure it is closed
Enjoy the trip:)

Ask him to lock the fuel Nasal switch to auto. saleman jab fuel daltay hai to to wo fuel walay lever ko (jis ko dabanay say fuel dalna start hota hai) full upper ko press nahi kartay bal k half main rakhty hai, 2ndly ke aik dam jhatka bhi martay hai .. Like aik dam full press kiya lever to fuel meter aik dam speedly chalta hai then then leaved the lever down and utna fuel nahi atta. Have you ever notice that every rikshaw driver fuel is rikshaw or taxi by them self. so jab be fuel dalwao to us ko bolo k auto pa laga ke chord day, Mean full lever upper pres ker lock ker chord day. Jintay ka bhi petrol ho ga khud ba ghud lever close ho jaye ga after that amount.

after few bad experience with few petrol stations i also got this advice from few mechanics .

but i am skeptical ..

as quite a few time i have bought it in open bottle and the quantity is correct .. no matter what they follow .. or may be it also depends on petrol pump brand and even that particular station ..

Just get your bike filled from a reputable fuel pump..avoid shady pumps where sales are low..Ayr 1 liter dalwana hai to chup kar kay 100 ka dalwa lo..I cant stop laughing as some1 stated before you got to follow the dummies series lol

may be iam wrong but heard from some one that some petrol pumps waaalas pore molecule enhancer in their tanks so if this is the case then the test of filling a 1.5 litters bottle is useless because what u see in bottle will be 1.5 litters but actually it is 1.3 or 1.2 litters and i think this is the reason that we some times get very low millage from specific pump's fuel

In wetern Countries every one fills Thier Car or bike by themselves , In Pakistan The same Should Be Applied But Cant Happen Bcoz "Yeh Pakistan Ha Yar" ... However Can Anyone Help me Regarding My Bike Mileage please?
My bike is Giving too low mileage,It gave me just 11 km/400ml petrol...... Please can Anyone Help me In this Concern?
