How to differ between 3 stage and single stage vtec

AOA guys, am swapping my EG's engine , most of people suggested me to go for d15b 3 stage vtec..

i went to the market today and asked alot of shopkeepers there for it..no one new anything about the 3 stage or single stage..they said ''sir vtec or non vtec aata hai bs'' , now my question is , how would i know that the engine is 3 stage vtec or single stage vtec , plus is there anything else i should know about it?

3 stage will have two solenoids as pictured here. Simple 2 stage will have one solenoid.

thankyou for the information bro..i went to the market today..d15b 3 stage is short these days..however i found 2 or 3 clean engines..the problem is..the ECU was missing from those engines..the seller said he will give the ECU with it if you finalize the deal..now i want to know that what ecu comes with it??the ECU he shows was p2j j61 ..
