How to drain 1KR-FE Coolant from Engine block?

Asalamu alaikum how are you all? Mainay apni Vitz ka coolant change karna hay to mera question ye hay k engine block se coolant kaisay drain karo? Mujy us bolt ya plug ki location chayay jahan se coolant drain hoga. @Xulfiqar Bhai apnay bola tha k agar hum old coolant drain karain or premixed daal dain to 50 50 mix proper nai hoga. Lkn agar hum engine block se coolant drain karain phr premixed daal dain tab to 50 50 mix proper hoga na?

And one more thing, kya ye coolant Toyota ka concentrated coolant hay? Qk ispar premixed nai likha hua.

1KR-FE has both hoses on side of engine, you will need to use air to remove old stuck coolant.

Open the radiator screw first, then open the lower hose engine side having the thermostate (going from lower part of radiator to the engine block) the hose clip is a bit tricky to open. After that, open the upper hose radiator side (going from upper radiator to the engine). Use air blower to flush the remaining coolant. Close the system and use distilled water to flush.

(When reinstalling the thermostate, there's a small hole/knob on it, make sure to keep the knob on the upper side. Also, properly attach the gaskit on the thermostate)

After that, use the new coolant and do air removal procedure. Continued...

After filling in about 3.5 to 4L of coolant in radiator and reservoir bottle (only upto max level), remove the air lock (mandatory). For that, park your car inclined (front up), open the radiator cap and keep running the engine until auto fan starts, so that all the air bubbles move out. Topup coolant during the process if the level reduces. After that, park your car overnight with radiator cap open. Next morning, see the coolant level in both radiator and reservoir, and topup if necessary. Keep checking the level every day you start your journey.

The air lock is not easy to remove, so have some patience.

Donot add water to the "Pre-mixed" or "Pre-diluted" or "50/50 premixed" coolants. But if its a "concentrate", then add half water to make it 50/50 (means half coolant half water)

The toyota coolant you referred is very expensive, and hard to find. It the best though, however you can also use Caltax or Aisin coolant, these two are also great.

Any coolant you use, make sure it has both anti rust and anti freeze properties.

Stay away from cheap ones like gaurd.

Can I mix two different brands of coolant? Like I have Toyota Genuine coolant in one car and if I use Aisin coolant for top up? Both are red color.

No no no, don't!

For that you have to see the label, but most probably they don't write coolant formulations as its a secret.

Nearly all coolants use with base fluids: ethylene glycol and distilled water. However, different companies use glycol derivatives, alcohol derivatives that are methyl alcohol,izopropyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol solvents, preservative agent using to prevent the antifreeze, engine corrosion inhibitor agent (antirust), etc.The amounts of alcohols and glycols are different for different formulations, and are determined to to stand against different intensity of cold winter.

Yeah I just realised after sharing the link that this coolant can be used in Toyota cars but cannot be mixed with Toyota original coolant. I think I am tired I need to sleep right now
