How to find a job in Dubai?

actually i have went through interview with a legit recruiter... the last one i applied for was a position in fashion industry related firm and recruiter was well renowned and legit too. Environment waha ka full hot tha actually the office was located at too much distance from my home so i said sorry to them otherwise i had no issue to pay recruiter half amount of my first salary as decided.

its a reasonable deal to pay half the salary to recruiter. bcuz it costs u money only if u get a job. so yes, its a fair deal. in my case, things are opposite... im just amazed why isnt there anything about them on the internet.

About the website you have mentioned. Those are just the domain names registered in canada. Most of the web host reside in USA that doesn't mean that the website is based in USA.

Since u r there, goto every office without shyness and gave them ur CV. This way u will explore Dubai as well.

The companies don't let anyone in, similarly what happened to us in karachi when we went on to distribute our CVs, guards were used to take our CVs that they will forward to HR and none of us of a big group got any call from anywhere. References work everywhere. Even you don't get to hear a lot of jobs on the internet. I have got to know about IT jobs in 2 big giants here and there is no such job on their portal. People will get hired on references. This is how it works everywhere even in countries like canada.

it turned out to be a fraud is my case. i called the guys, they didnt pick. I email, they didnt respond. then i went on LinkedIn and seached n found a few comments about them being fraudsters. i wrote a few against them too. I wonder how many innocent people they tricked out...
Lesson learnt: Be careful and NEVER pay anyone in such a situation...

Its not about the money but what can someone do with your documents. Had this just been about the money then they wouldn't have given you a long list of docs they need. I would just have been a simple interview with your CV, that's it.

you are most probably right. even if it is only for money, they would ask for all those documents to make it look like a real applications processing going on, which it is not...

I received this email from a recruiter.I randomly found his email address on LinkedIn and dumped in my CV. Anyone looking for a job can contact him. and btw, i would strongly recommend making a profile on LinkedIn and connecting to people of your industry. Just randomly search for people and add them. also search profiles of HR guys and add them too. I ve been doing it for a week now. Everytime i log in, i find job openings from these guys as updates. It could make the difference.

anyways, heres the email.

This Decent Manpower Services offer looks like a scam to me as I've never heard this name before and the office location is suspicious too if you are aware of these areas in Karachi. . If they are taking any amount BEFORE your joining at UAE,

lol... dont get desperate. Its human nature. When u will get a job abroad, after a few months u ll say "yar apna mulk apna he hota hy". Human beings are never satisfied n thats normal. so keep accumulating experience and keep looking for opportunities abroad. when u find a gud one, take it! You re lucky to have found work even in karachi. people dont find a job at all... infact in my field, people work for upto 3 years for next to nothing (6-12k) just to get experience

Well, here in UAE, normally its the employer who pays that amount to the recruiters not the wanna be employee!

I ve heard its done both ways. Not sure but i ve read at many places that recruiters certainly charge the employers and some also charge the to-be-employees...
